"My fiance' and I were looking to buy our first home together. I first met with Ken at an informal lunch, asking all the questions that a first-time home buyer wants to know, not even sure if I should be looking at a home. Ken answered me honestly and forthrightly, never pressuring me, and explained the whole process knowledgeably and in detail. He listened carefully to my preferences, ideas, and budget, and when I began viewing homes he continued his straightforward approach providing useful feedback on the houses without attempting to influence my opinion. The home I finally purchased was one that Ken had shown in our first outing. When it was re listed, he remembered my delight at some of its features and suggested that I give it another look in light of some of the other properties I'd viewed. He was at the home inspection, helped me negotiate a lower price, worked through the sales paperwork for me, and has been in touch several times since to make sure I was enjoying the property. I especially appreciated his low pressure sales technique and his ability to look at properties from my point of view as to their features and desirability. As a first time home buyer, I was basically clueless as to the process of purchasing a home actually worked. I was very happy to have Ken on my “home buying team.” He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with me while I learned how to do things. He was always available to me if I had a question, or needed to be reassured throughout the process. Also, he always either knew the answer, or could direct me to the appropriate person so I could find the answer. As well as being excellent himself, Ken also provided me with excellent recommendations for the various people I also needed on “my team” (lawyers, mortgage specialists, etc). I was very specific on the type of house I wanted, and Ken continued to look until we found exactly what I wanted. I am completely satisfied with the services provided before, during, and after, as Ken checked in even after the process was complete. As a first time home buyer I found Ken Thompson, my real estate agent, accommodating, diligent, and generous; he gave good advice during my negotiations with the vendor of my dream home. Over several weeks Ken scheduled many viewing's at my convenience and provided relevant information regarding market value, house type and the surrounding neighborhoods.
